In February 2025, saxophonist and composer Hashem Assadullahi worked with our Valley Jazz Orchestra as a visiting guest artist and then performed a set with Dr. Jeff Lovell and Dr. Justin Morell, members of our jazz faculty.
VJO went back to the studio for a day of recording in January. The objective: to record three new compositions by Dr. J-Mo for the band’s next release.
Students spent a Sunday morning in October rehearsing for an afternoon “album release” concert held in Blobby. In between rehearsal and performance was a much needed pizza break.
